A word about walking: all tours require a moderate amount of walking. Free time is given so that guests can enjoy the museums on the National Mall at their leisure. Although they are all around the Mall and not far apart, each museum is huge, so you can do as little or as much walking as you wish. All are air conditioned and have restrooms and water, plus most have cafes inside
