New Girl Scouts CEO Says Best Thing
About Being A Girl Scout Was Travel. Anna Maria Chavez was
featured recently in USA Today: Travel
opportunities with Girl Scouts were particularly meaningful, giving
Chavez "the first opportunity I had to go away by myself,
without my family. It really opened my eyes and gave me a certain
amount of courage."
Join The World’s Biggest Sing-Along!
Councils across America can host a tour to Washington, D.C.
for the 100th Anniversary Sing-Along
Girl Scout troops are invited on a fun
and inspiring 1-night or 2-night tour to Washington, D.C. in June 2012
for the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary Sing-Along on The National Mall
on June 9. The last one in 2007 drew 250,000 people who enjoyed
fellowship, singing, watching big name acts on stage AND seeing the
amazing sites of Washington, D.C.
Prime Tours took 660 Girl Scouts and
their families to the last Sing-Along, more than any other tour
operator in the nation. We take thousands of young people to
Washington, D.C. on school and youth tours.
We know you’ll love the safety,
quality, service and value of our Sing-Along tours. Arrange to get the troops in your council to the 100th Anniversary
Sing-Along soon, as space is limited. Once you set up your tour, we’ll
provide a customized marketing flier similar to this one for you to
distribute.
Councils can request to have free spaces for leaders.
The Sing-Along is hosted by the Girl Scouts Nation's
Capital. See more at their website: www.gscnc.org.
Our tours include our capital’s major
sites, including The White House, Supreme Court, Library of Congress,
U.S. Capitol, the Lincoln, Vietnam War, Korean War, Jefferson, FDR and
WWII Memorials, plus the Smithsonian’s Air & Space, American
History and Natural History Museums. Then join the amazing Sing-Along
on the National Mall right by the Washington Monument. You also get
meals, transportation, a tour director and hotel.
Bus vs. Airplane: For groups coming
from 600 miles or less to Washington, D.C., it is easier and less
costly to take a luxury motorcoach tour. We can also add interesting
stops along the way, depending on where you’re coming from. For
groups farther away, taking a plane makes the most sense. You can
choose the air that works best for you, and we can help. We meet you
when you land and handle everything in D.C.
Here are the two options that
include luxury motorcoach transportation from your home area. You can
also request any customized changes to these tour for your group,
which may affect the cost.
